  I am incredibly grateful to the Center for Food Action in Hackensack for helping me during one of the most difficult periods of my life. After losing my job, I fell behind financially and was struggling to keep up with rent and basic expenses. Although I was eventually able to find another job, the hours were not enough to fully support my household.<br><br>From the very beginning, the staff treated me with kindness, compassion, and respect. I especially want to recognize Nellieann and her assistant for their outstanding support. They were patient, professional, organized, and truly caring throughout the entire process.<br><br>What stood out to me most was how quickly they worked to help me and how efficient and organized everything was. During a time when I felt overwhelmed and uncertain, they helped ease so much stress and made me feel seen and supported instead of judged.<br><br>The Center for Food Action is truly a blessing to the community.   The Center for Food Action is an amazing organization that helps families navigate the terrifying uncertainty of job loss and housing instability. Our caseworker, Ms. Claudia Granados-Ruiz, was professional, responsive, and deeply empathetic. She gave us clear guidance and helped us through every step of the process.<br><br>Without the help of CFA and Ms. Granados-Ruiz, we would have lost our home. They were the light at the end of a very dark tunnel for us, and we are forever grateful.<br><br>If you are in a position to support local organizations, please consider the Center for Food Action.   So grateful for the people that have donated for people in need me and my mom can't buy food right now and everything they give us is exactly what we need-I pray god continue to blessed for giving us food when we're not able to buy with our current living situation.I am not working and my mom only have enough to pay the rent so thank you for making a difference in people lives.
