  Allison Scola planned the most incredible vacation for us. Every detail was attended to which helped us to truly enjoy our experience. The drivers, guides, and accommodations were all terrific. Some highlights were a a private cooking class in a small village, a backroads adventure tour of Mt. Etna, a wine tasting, seeing a production at the Greek Theatre of Syracuse, visiting Piazza Armerina, spending time in the small town of Caltabellotta, and relaxing at the beautiful hotels. I highly recommend having Allison plan your trip to Sicily!

  I was fortunate enough to go on my first trip with Experience Sicily earlier this month and I can guarantee it won't be my last.<br><br>Allison Scola did a splendid job of coordinating and leading a fun and festive exploration of the lush, peaceful, and beautiful Sicilian landscapes for me and my fellow travelers. Ms. Scola is extremely knowledgable about Sicilian history and culture, as well as the rhythms and textures of daily life, and she did a fantastic job of conveying that knowledge in ways that made the trip feel enriching and enlivening. She cared a lot about helping people be open and attentive to the mysteries and possibilities at hand, and that care helped to make the journey restorative and revitalizing.<br><br>My group of five enjoyed a lovely week of tasty food, gentle yoga (Thank you, Clio!), impressive museums, gorgeous music, and leisurely hikes.   When you travel with Allison from Experience Sicily you discover how passionate she is about Sicily. It was an absolute joy to be with someone so immersed in the culture, history and experiences of this wonderful island. Our small group (13) bonded immediately. Much of that was due to the way we were introduced to each other, and the camaraderie she fostered. The attention to detail, arrangements and regard to individual personal requirements was impressive.<br>All that being said; this is not a trip for anyone with mobility or balance issues. Sicily is not "flat land". Lots of steep streets, stairs, inclines and difficult rocky cobblestones. All this is worth the energy for the experiences we enjoyed. "Experience Sicily" is not just the name of the tour company, it's the harbinger of what is to come. From the cooking class, to street food, to gelato, chocolate and cannoli we experienced lots of food fun. This was an excellent tour in this price category.... You get a lot of bang for y

  We joined Experience Sicily's Enchanted Sicily tour in May/June. This was our second tour with Allison and it did not disappoint. Every element of the tour was well organized and included some of those "must see" guide book attractions, but where her tours really shine is in the off the beaten path places and real life interactions that she curates. Allison's knowledge of the history of the island is amazing and deepens the experience. The local guides, drivers and hotels were some of the best we have experienced in our recent travels. I cannot imagine exploring Sicily without Allison's expertise and the support of the Experience Sicily team.

  Experience Sicily and its team, led by Allison Scola, is an excellent tour company to explore Sicily with. I just returned from a 16 day trip (Enchanting Sicily plus two nights beforehand in Taormina) and have nothing but positive things to say about Allison and this tour. We saw much of the island and learned so many things about the land, its history, and its peoples. There are such a variety of activities such as market tours, a cooking class, visiting a volcano, seeing a Greek tragedy in an ancient Greek theater, a wine experience, visiting ancient temples and villas, and seeing a local festa all on top of visiting numerous cities and towns across the island. And, the food is an experience in itself! When you add Allison's deep knowledge and personal connection to Sicily you have a tour that is both thoughtful and meaningful for all.<br><br>I have Sicilian roots, and as part of my tour I took a side trip and visited the town both of my paternal grandparents are from.
