Richard has helped me both professionally and personally over the last five or so years. Always ready to diagnose a situation, Richard is down to earth about the situation you're dealing with; he tells you if he doesn't know and has to investigate further; he tells you what you could be looking a for a price and fix time. He may very well have saved me from getting into an accident by noting the urgency of my need to change the timing belt on my 97 Accord. Richard's a strong minded individual, a salt of the earth kind of guy. I didn't know Ray as well because I only knew him for a little before he passed, but I know Ray was glad Richard came to the business to lend a hand and eventually, after Ray's passing, take over.

My name is Paul Hemmendinger. The owner at J&R Mechanic in Rutherford, NJ is very professional, kind, courteous, and trustworthy. Every time I have an issue with my vehicle, I bring it to him, and he knows what's wrong every time and fixes it in a very timely manner. The price he charges me to fix my vehicle is very fair. I have never had any issues with his repairs. He is always professional. I would recommend this mechanic to anyone. Some other mechanics are rip-offs, but J&R Machine Shop in Rutherford is excellent. You will never be disappointed in the job he does on your vehicle, and he takes care of your vehicle as well.
