Today I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at the Phillips Ciaro Junior Learning Center at Bergen Community College in Hackensack.<br><br>I came to this program to improve my English and paid for the class with the expectation of being treated with respect. During the placement process, a female staff member who said she was a supervisor or director spoke to me in an extremely disrespectful and humiliating way in front of other teachers.<br><br>Instead of listening to my concern that the class level might be too easy for me, she raised her voice and started criticizing my English ability in front of everyone, saying my grammar, vocabulary, and writing were bad. The way she said this felt humiliating and unprofessional.<br><br>No student should be treated like this, especially in an educational environment where people come to learn and improve. Being publicly criticized and spoken to in such a harsh tone was very upsetting and embarrassing.<br><br>I hope the administrati
