I called a few bike shops in the area to get an idea of what it would cost to fix my son's bike. Every shop quoted me $100+ for basic maintenance plus the cost for any replacement parts. I spoke to John and explained that the derailleur is scraping on the spoke in 2nd gear. After checking what was causing the problem, he told me the aluminum piece was bent. Instead of trying to sell me new parts, he whipped out some tools and unbent the piece and problem solved. Even checked the tire pressure and added more air. Total cost $25. Highly recommended John. Honest and has a wealth on knowledge. It is a true testament to why his business is celebrating their 50th anniversary.
