  Thank you for your review, and I apologize for any aspects that left you dissatisfied.<br><br>First of all, I cannot agree that our food is too sweet or salty, but I understand if you find it somewhat bland.<br><br>As many previous reviews have shown, our food is prepared in the most traditional way, and I believe you are aware that Korean cuisine requires a lot of time and effort. <br><br>Moreover, the somewhat high price you paid for our food reflects the quality of the ingredients we use.<br>

  While Korean food has become increasingly popular in the U.S. over the past decade, it feels like most options skew toward two extremes: fast food (chicken, ddeogboggi, ramen, etc.) or rarefied Michelin experiences with impossibly competitive reservations. The Plating offers a much-needed middle ground. All the dishes are readily recognizable to anyone who's grown up with traditional Korean food and flavors, but they're executed in a refined, precise, and intentionally modern way that elevates them a cut above the average Korean restaurant in the suburbs.<br><br>I was in a party of 4, and we ordered a dinner course menu. Every plate was delicious, and we were very full when we left.<br><br>The chef/owner is the sole cook, so if she is booked for private events, the restaurant closes for the day. To avoid disappointment, CALL AHEAD to check if the restaurant is open. It may feel like a hassle, but I enjoyed my meal enough to feel that the call is worth it.

  I really enjoyed everything we ordered- quality, fresh food that was flavorful without being too heavy on the seasoning. I would definitely visit again!!! It's BYOB
