Charged over 5000 less than 24 hours in the hospital with just an ultra sound, blood test and fluids. Couldn't find the cause for my pet deteriorating condition, and absolutely put money before care or service, or results

Our nearly 20 year old cat, Lily, who was basically still a 7 lbs. kitten suddenly stopped eating. We tried to coax her with various foods and treats but nothing was really appealing to her. We took her to our local vet in Sussex County that ran some tests and determined that her liver levels were very high. Based on that they said an ultrasound was the most likely the only way to get a good diagnosis. We took her to Oradell Animal Hospital so they could do an examination and set up the ultrasound if recommended. Everyone there was amazing and the care, compassion and consideration they displayed was greatly appreciated. After the examination by Dr. Brown, he said that the ultrasound would be the next step but they would need to make her stay overnight. After the discussion of the cost vs. her likely prognosis we made the difficult and emotional decision that we would take her home and come back the next morning. Dr. Brown said that overnighters do get priority so our best bet was to b
