I have been to Shabu House more times than I care to admit. The quality of the food is always top-notch, the service outstanding. The staff is always so warm and welcoming and it feels like a second home! (Shout out to Ashley the incredible manager for always taking such good care of us!)

Came here tonight as a big group (6+) and informed the waiter that we will be splitting the tables since half of our group were vegetarians/pescatarians and can't participate in the $37.99 option w/ unlimited meat. He proceeded to tell our non-meat eaters that they cannot sit across from us for the fear of "sharing" the meat. We understand it is their policy everyone at the table must have the same hot pot option but it is absolutely ridiculous because we already informed them AND our group already sat at a different table. They are vegetarians/pescatarians therefore they can't even participate! Made it an absolutely miserable experience since I cannot readily talk to other members of our party (mind you most of our group came from out of town and I wanted them to try this place since it was good) unless I got up and walked to the other side of the restaurant. And every time one of our group from the vegetarian/pescatarian side came over to talk to us, we were being watched like a hawk

While I am new to the area and have only visited this spot once, I do plan to return, as my experience was up to par. This is a hot pot style place where you select your broth and then choose which all-you-can-eat option you want. You can either order the full meats option, which gives you access to all the meats; the downside is that if one person at the table orders it, everyone has to. I assume they have this rule because it's hard to keep track of people sharing, and they don't want guests who didn't purchase the meat package snagging some from their peers' plates.

The other option is their regular hot pot package, which comes with the broth and allows you to get up and pick an unlimited amount of ingredients from their display. This includes dumplings, noodles, veggies, and some cooked options, which were nice. My friend and I ordered an array of different meats to go with our broth, such as brisket, beef pastrami, Berkshire pork shoulder, pork belly, and lamb -- which I li

Go to Shabu Ro instead. In my experience, it is a much better hot pot restaurant.

We came to Shabu House with a large group, and two people in our party do not eat meat. The restaurant insisted on separating them from the rest of us because they were concerned that customers might pass meat to each other.

We had encountered a similar policy here before. At that time, they would not let us sit directly next to each other, so we had to sit diagonally in different rows. We were not happy about it, but we accepted that it was their policy. This time, however, they would not even allow us to sit in the same aisle. We were sitting on each corner of the restaurant. For a group coming out to eat together, that completely defeats the purpose.

We raised the issue with the manager, and the explanation was that some customers have passed meat to one another in the past. I understand that an all-you-can-eat restaurant needs rules to prevent abuse, but there has to be some reason

Decided to give hot pot a chance, even though I've never had it before I've always wanted it, but was intimidated by the concept. We got there around seven and we're seated very quickly and had a very kind server who helped explain the fundamentals of how things worked. I will say I recommend going with an experienced person or doing your previous research because it's a lot to take in at one time between options, variety, different styles of broths I was totally lost, but with a little bit of help, I took my first attempt I went for most basic broth to stay on the safer side, and we were off to the races. The all you can eat buffet had some very good selections of fresh vegetables, fruit, and dumplings, which I did appreciate and there was like 30 sauces everything you could imagine everything was fresh and flavorful. My only complaint was that it was very overwhelming for a first time experience with no prior research and at the end I felt I didn't win at all you can eat, but I have
