Progressive Dance Studio is more than just a dance studio--we are a dance family! Located in Englewood, NJ, we proudly welcome dancers of all ages and levels. We offer both recreational and competitive programs, which include ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, lyrical, acro, breaking, pom, K-pop and more. Our goal is to provide a positive and supportive environment where every dancer can build confidence, improve their technique, express themselves and develop a true love for dance. Whether your child is taking their very first class or is an experienced competitive dancer, there is a place for them at PDS!

Our two sons have taken group classes and are now in private lessons. They've enjoyed two types of dance. TBH, it was not easy to get our boys engaged every week even though they liked to dance. The instructors worked with them and adjusted accordingly. We cannot say enough about how accommodating Jolene (owner) and the instructors have been. IMO, our current tap dance lessons have helped our boys on the soccer field. I see improvement in their footwork.

Truly a great place. The owner Jolene is great and her managers Kerime and David truly care about the welfare of the students. Not only are they qualified educators but they also have had vast performing arts careers. I would say that's why the school still exists after 45 years.

My four daughters have been dancing here for years, and it has become like a second home to our family. The teachers are not only incredibly professional and talented but also genuinely passionate about what they do. They inspire the kids to work hard, express themselves, and truly love dance.<br><br>The owner, Jolene, goes above and beyond for every student. She has created an environment where dancers learn to love and respect their bodies, gain confidence, and develop a healthy mindset about performance and self-image - which, as a parent, I deeply appreciate.<br><br>The company group of dancers and parents is absolutely fabulous and supportive. It feels like one big family. It all started with a google search for a place for my daughter to take dance classes and what I found at Progressive Dance Studio is a family. At first I was surprised to find such nurturing professionals who were so incredibly dedicated to their craft so close to home. They welcomed my child with such open hearts and willingness to pass their knowledge that it made me stop my search and have her join. Then slowly I started to see what truly made them special was the love and attention they show every individual that walks through their doors. As the time passed I was amazed to see that the teachers not only taught her different styles of dance but taught her confidence, self assurance and commitment. These are the true treasures she has found in dance at PDS. Yes she has learned poise, posture and the grace that comes with being a dancer but to see my shy girl carrying herself with such assurance is awe inspiring.
