NJ may be the Garden State, but its fresh seafood is just as important to the state's identity. It isn't just the Jersey Shore serving up fresh catches. The culinary scene in North Jersey is an absolute ocean-to-table powerhouse.<br><br>For more than five decades, this establishment located on River Drive in Garfield has been a local fixture known for its "warm, friendly atmosphere"' to gather for lunch, dinner, or an easy night out with friends.<br><br>Destroyed in a 2024 fire, I have returned for lunch on a weekday at DP's Pub and was welcomed by the original outdoor sign restored by an employee.<br><br>Upon entering this two-story, multi-colored suburban house, I was greeted by the staff and seated at the long bar, which operates on a first-come, first-served basis. DP's Pub in Garfield is a great spot. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The food was really good and the servers were friendly and attentive. Their draft beers were fresh. Need my fizz. Even had soju which surprised me. 10/10 experience

This was my favorite place for decades, now it's over priced for lower quality. $17.00 for 3 tiny lobster rolls that were a shell of their former selves. They used to be $7.95 - $9.95 and came with 4 abundant rolls.
