    I've known the owner since I was a kid, as she did my mother's hair. Very talented and gives great hair care advice

    When you go to the salon and receive services of $50 & up, you should ask for a receipt for services with your name, the name of the business and the TAX ID NUMBER. As per your income taxes you can claim the amounts up to $600 as a gift, donation or contribution. It's a good habit to get into so that you can recover some of the costs each year you file your taxes. (source your tax accountant).
