They are irresponsible employees of the ticket collection department, I received a letter that my license was suspended for not paying an alleged parking ticket for my car in July 2023, I never received a notification at my house, of what I owed but the suspension notification did arrive in March 2025. One Friday night when I got home I saw the letter, that I must pay the restoration of the license that has been suspended since February 2025, but they could not send a collection or warning letter that if I do not pay they would suspend me, I driving a whole month without a license risking being stopped by a police officer and taken to jail and having my vehicle towed or worse having an accident and realizing that I do not have a license without my fault.

I received a ticket for accidentally turning right on red at an intersection that did not allow it on my way to a wake in the area. First off, big ups to the officer that handed me that ticket. When appealing online to the court and explaining my situation, I was given a plea deal of unsafe operation thinking a first offense was between $50-$150. I'll take blame for not knowing the $250 surcharge and the court fee, but the total ticket was $440. I called and confirmed the court handed me the maximum fine of $150 for the first offense. Absolutely heartless all around from Teaneck.
