I am a volunteer for the JLE and have been giving my time to this wonderful organization since 2009. We have a sizeable group of diverse volunteers like me. About half of us were not raised in traditional Torah-observant (aka Orthodox) homes. We each found our own way to the same destination and are inspired to invite others to learn about Judaism the way we did and celebrate Shabbat and holidays with meaning and joy.
