Starting with preballet and continuing through advanced-level preprofessional dancers, our curriculum serves both the pre-professional student and the recreational dancer in Classical Ballet and Pointe with technique based primarily on the Balanchine-style. The Jazz department programs, including Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Tap and Musical Theater Dance, are designed to address the levels of each student. Adult classes in-studio for Nia, Ballet, Jazz and Tap , are also available. The school presents two performances each year; the Nutcracker Ballet in late November and full-length classical ballets in the June.

The Ridgefield School of Dance is absolute magic! The instructors are incredibly skilled, nurturing, and truly care about every dancer's growth and confidence. There is such a beautiful balance of top-tier, professional training and a warm, welcoming community feel. Highly recommend!

Being accepted into every college dance program that my twin daughters auditioned for this year has been a dream come true and was a direct result of the world class dance training my daughters received from the instructors at The Ridgefield School of Dance, on Grove Street in Ridgefield, CT and the thoughtful guidance from Alison, the Director and owner of The Ridgefield School of Dance. They began studying dance at RSOD at a young age and by the time they were 16 years old they were accepted to train and perform in the RSOD Jazz Company which is taught by a former Captain of the Rockettes! This was a huge boost to their confidence which pushed them further than I ever imagined was possible! Simultaneously getting to learn from the innovative modern contemporary fusion choreography from a former Paul Taylor dancer, was an exceptional experience! I am so grateful to Alison and the professional dance faculty at RSOD for creating such a warm and welcoming community that fosters a lifelon

Our 5 year old has loved the ballet summer camps and is now taking Ballet 1 on Saturday mornings. The studio is welcoming and we love that we can watch class from the one-way window. The staff is warm and friendly, too!

The Adult Beginner ballet class at Ridgefield School of Dance has been amazing. Rebecca is a great teacher - knowledgeable, enthusiastic and encouraging. There is a pretty wide range in age and ballet experience among the students, but this has not been an obstacle. The atmosphere is motivational and friendly so that all feel comfortable. I highly recommend Ridgefield School of Dance for any adult looking to incorporate dance into their life.
