  Showed up at 4 for a 5 o'clock reservation<br>And was asked if I had reservation, I responded yes and was told to sit for a few minutes. Long story short I was very rudely told at 5 o'clock that they don't have a car for me and they are closed

  Would just have you sit there for an hour.... Cars are good though<br><br>Edit: they changed the final price and would not return deposit. Will not say why...

  The experience I had today will go down in the history of renting a car as the worst experience ever! This is not me blowing the situation out of proportion.<br><br>A couple months ago I reserved a 7 passenger SUV online from Hertz's Fairfield, NJ location to move my son into school. When I arrived this morning the location was closed with a note on the door saying that the East Hanover location would be handling the reservation. I received multiple emails and texts about my reservation. None of them were to notify me that I would now need to pick up the car in East Hanover instead of Fairfield.<br><br>So I then drive 30 minutes to East Hanover only to find out that they don't have any SUVs. After some time calling multiple locations the young lady locates a vehicle in another location and a driver in another and makes arrangements for them to meet me back in Fairfield later in the day. I drive an hour home and wait for her call. At around 1pm I get a call to drive back to Fairfield to

  THE RESERVATION PROBLEM WAS AAA'S FAULT. THE WAY I WAS TREATED WAS 100% THIS HERTZ LOCATION'S FAULT.<br><br>I want to be completely fair about what happened. I booked a Hertz rental through AAA for a 6:00 PM pickup, which is when I get out of work. AAA's website allowed me to make and confirm the reservation without stopping me or warning me that this Hertz location would be closed at that time.<br><br>That's a problem I have already taken up with AAA.<br><br>But what happened when I arrived at this Hertz location was absolutely disgusting customer service.<br><br>When I arrived, the doors were locked, although employees were still inside. I tried the door because I had a confirmed reservation and didn't understand what had happened.<br><br>Instead of someone simply coming over and explaining the situation, employees inside laughed and pointed/tapped at the sign indicating that they were closed.<br><br>Seriously?<br><br>I'm standing outside with a confirmed Hertz reservation, obviously
