  I am genuinely heartbroken that my son has to leave this school for our town's program in the fall. He was only at RMS for a few short weeks for their summer program, but the amount of growth we have seen in him during that time has been incredible. He came out of his shell, learned how to really play and interact with other children, became much more autonomous, and is able to express himself and his feelings so much easier now. He comes home with endless stories about school and is excited to learn every single day, whether it's at school or at home. He had never been in any kind of school or program before this, and I originally enrolled him because I thought it would be a good way to prepare him for public school in the fall. I had no idea how impactful those few weeks would actually be. Like with any child going into a completely new environment, the transition was a little rough at first, but everyone in the entire building was so patient and loving with him and made him feel rig

  RMS has been an amazing preschool for our two kids since they were 1.5 and 2.5. The teachers are so caring and engaged, and Diane, Chris, and Lauren work tirelessly to create a warm, nurturing environment. The curriculum is fun and enriching -- the Pre-K 4 program prepared our son beautifully for kindergarten with strong reading and writing skills for his age. We absolutely love RMS and will be so sad when our daughter eventually graduates!

  Rutherford Montessori is an amazing school. Staff are highly professional and experienced. The school is very well run and children learn and are cared for in a safe and enriching environment. As a mother of 4 children I've had a few different experiences with early childhood education, and by far Rutherford Montessori is the best daycare/preschool I've seen.

  I give the highest recommendation for Rutherford Montessori School. We came to RMS nearly 4 years ago after the daycare we were in was closing. We had already moved our first child (who was under three) twice due to relocation and our second had just turned one. We were besides ourselves. We had looked at every other daycare in the vicinity and were not finding the right fit. Almost as soon as I walked into RMS, I knew it was the right place. Every room we walked into the teachers were happy and engaged with the children. I knew it was a good sign that the teachers had working with Diane for many, many years (some over a decade!). We immediately enrolled our kids. The school takes such an individualized approach to each child. They coaxed along my shy tentative oldest and work to balance my headstrong second without ever crushing her spirit.
