He is one of a few select surgeons performing the Inspire hypoglossal nerve implant for sleep apnea.A native of New Jersey, Dr. Mahmoud attended Rutgers University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a dual degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. I was disappointed. Doctor was recommended by my colleague. I waited for the visit about one month. When I came for appointment I found that I may have 2 test which my insurance may not cover. I had to call insurance at the time of the appointment. The doctor did short interview and performed the test and left. He said" you know that you have hiatal hernia and because of that you have reflux" I knew that before I came to him. After the visit I was asking myself" why I came"?
