Successfully Navigating College Admissions This Fall

Virtual Program For Parents and Teens in grades 9 - 12 Wednesday, September 16th 7:30pm - 8:30pm We are offering this Zoom presentation to help families of high school juniors, sophomores, and freshmen better understand the college admissions process and how to successfully navigate today’s changing landscape. The session will cover current college admissions trends and strategies, the evolving test optional environment, the importance of researching and visiting colleges to find the right fit, and key timelines and action steps that can make this fall productive while easing stress around the college admissions process. We will also take a close look at the holistic admissions review process, including what admissions officers value when evaluating applicants and how students can develop a strong personal narrative that reflects their strengths, interests, character, and experiences. Another focus will be on the role of community service and the growing importance of meaningful “passion projects.” We will discuss how students can turn their interests, values, and experiences into authentic activities that foster personal growth, demonstrate character, and show positive impact. Admissions officers place great emphasis on character, and thoughtful service can help students show initiative, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping their communities. This program is recommended for parents and their high school teens. It provides a clear and strategic overview of what students should prioritize this fall for a successful college admissions journey and how to approach the process with confidence and less stress.
