ESL Book Club, adults

Registration required. Wednesday, October 7 thru Wednesday, December 9. No class Wednesday, November 11 or Wednesday, November 25. Participants should be able to read at an intermediate English level (book is written in English at approximately 6th grade reading level). Preference given to Tenafly residents who are not already enrolled in our ESL program. We will provide the books and you will be responsible for reading several chapters each week. Copies of the book will be available approximately 2 weeks before the first meeting on October 7. After registration, you will be notified via email when the books are available for pick up. The Help by Karen Stockett In Jackson, Mississippi, in 1962, there are lines that are not crossed. With the civil rights movement exploding all around them, three women start a movement of their own, forever changing a town and the way women--black and white, mothers and daughters--view one another.
