STEM Summer Camp (Ages 8 - 13) - Engineering Design

Join us at the library for a STEM summer camp led by NVD teen Jason. For ages 8 - 13. Each day will include a mini lesson followed by an activity. Wednesday, August 26 - Engineering Design with the Foil Boat Penny Challenge where students build boats out of aluminum foil to see how many pennies it can hold before sinking. About the Instructor: Jason is a rising senior who is passionate about all things STEM and educating others about it. He will be completing his internship at a National Cancer Institute (NCI) Designated Cancer Center early this summer under the guidance of scientific researchers. He was at the FIRST Robotics World Championship earlier this year where his team received an award. He co-hosted our Genetics Summer Camp last year and is back to lead our STEM Summer Camp.
