  "Based on my personal experience, I was extremely dissatisfied with the response from the building inspector. I repeatedly reported what I believed were serious and potentially dangerous conditions in my apartment, including missing smoke alarms, mold, a leaking tub that caused water to enter the restaurant below, holes in walls, damaged flooring, and broken windows. I also reported windows that had been nailed shut. Despite multiple calls and attempts to raise these concerns, I felt my complaints were dismissed, some calls were ended abruptly, and I did not receive meaningful assistance. I ultimately escalated the matter to state agencies, which became involved and took enforcement action against my landlord. I have extensive photos, videos, emails, inspection records, and other documentation that I provided to government agencies. Residents reporting serious housing and safety concerns should be taken seriously and treated professionally."
