I had a wonderful time as per usual at Akane getting my hair colored and styled. I trust the stylists to do vibrant colors. Even though I've had to bleach my hair, it doesn't feel very damaged at all, and they gave me helpful input on taking care of bleached hair. I enjoy the pleasant hospitality and the nice reclining shampoo chairs, so I can relax and even fall asleep during a deep conditioning treatment. It's definitely worth the wait for an appointment.

I had a haircut and hair straightening done by hair stylist Celine today & had a wonderful experience. Celine was both professional and attentive. Communication was great and I left feeling very bonita~ Highly recommend booking with Celine!

I highly recommend Akane Hair Salon! Every stylist is incredibly talented and truly takes the time to listen to what you want. The entire staff is so warm, welcoming, and professional, which makes every visit such a great experience. The salon itself is welcoming, clean, and relaxing, and I always leave feeling so happy with my hair. You can really tell they care about their clients and the quality of their work!

They were polite, but I called to make a regular stylist appointment a couple days in advanced and they forgot to write it down so they weren't expecting me when I came in.<br><br>They were able to slot me in after a 15 minute wait, but I found out at billing time that it was the salon director that did my hair and they never notified me or asked in advanced.<br><br>Because it was the director, it ended up costing $105 when I was expecting $60 for a regular stylist since that's what I originally booked.<br><br>Again, they were very nice but just disappointed I had to pay a $40 additional cost to accommodate a clerical error on their end :( I wish they were more transparent that it was the salon director that had availability and confirmed it was alright with me.

Mixed review here. I have been to this salon 4-5 times and have always requested the same haircut every time (with reference pic). The first times they did a great job. After getting my haircut at a number of places in the area, I thought I finally found my spot. However, my regular stylist left, so I had to book with a new one. Lets just say the most recent haircut didn't really look like what I wanted, and that I kind of got the sense that the stylist didn't know how to do what I asked during the process.<br><br>What I will say is that they have three pricing levels<br>$45 for junior stylist, $55 for Master Stylist, and $65 for Director. I believe I went from a master stylist to junior stylist, so that may have been the issue. Keep in mind that $10.00 difference in price, may reflect a bigger gap in experience than you think when booking.
