  This is a scam. Me and my partner were ready to move forward with signing the lease to a $2,100 per month apartment, but Josh mentioned he would be able to bring down the monthly rent by $300 if we payed a $3,250 "one time fee" up front. Mind you, this fee doesn't include security deposit, first month rent, or utilities. He wanted us to pay $1,800 for security deposit, $1,800 for first month's rent, and this undisclosed fee of $3,250. A WHOPPING $6,850 just to get the keys!!! We asked him what the fee would cover and he responded "the rent does not magically go down" and "it's gonna cost to get low rent". Due to me and my partner relocating for work, therefore having an early move-in deadline, he said we were priority candidates. Once we mentioned being uncomfortable with paying this mysterious "one time fee", he said we no longer have priority, and that priority is reserved for people who will pay $3,250 up front.   I recently moved from Colorado to New York. As most can imagine, making a long distance move is already extremely difficult and frustrating. However, I was able to work with Josh/ Minotaur Management and they accommodated a FaceTime viewing of The apartment I was interested in. The process itself was pretty smooth. I've also had to contact Josh about other things during my move, which he has been happy to accommodate.

  This management company is by far one of the greatest companies I have ever experienced. The communication was clear, consistent, and proactive. They were patient with me and always had solution's to any concerns I had.

  I am writing this post to possibly help comfort others. I signed the lease for my apartment having never seen it, cause I lived in another state. I called about one apartment and he helped find another. Yes the process goes through Zelle but that's how a lot of brokers do business now.<br><br>Josh was helpful, helped speed the process along super quick and even got me into my apartment a few days earlier. I do suggest working with him. Remember people only write about negative experiences and very rarely share the positives. Hence the reason I'm writing this post.

  Josh Phillips is a horrible agent. If your apartment is his listing you need to run the other way. Zero customer service skills. Will invent scenarios of another pandemic to convince you to not apply he doesn't want you to, if you're not the right *kind* of person . Don't give these people your business.<br><br>update: within minutes of my honest review, Josh Phillips threatened me with coordinating a campaign to prevent me from getting housing. This is very dangerous behavior and no way to conduct business.
