As a first-time expecting mother, no one can prepare you for labor and the birthing process. It is both an exciting yet scary time, especially as I planned for an unmedicated home birth. During every step of my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, Zen was there to provide advice, encouragement and support. I do not think I could've gone through my long labor without her. Her calm energy, coupled with both her physical and emotional support, helped me cope with the pain of contractions and the mental burden of labor. Postpartum, Zen was there to help with breast feeding and newborn care support. Whenever I needed her, she was just a text or phone call away. We cannot thank her enough and she will always have a special place in our hearts.
