I signed up daughter on February 3rd for a lifeguard certification course that was scheduled for April 19th. The business owner confirmed my daughter's spot and advised that an info text would be sent one week prior to the class. That day I texted confirming my daughter's spot and asked if the materials were forthcoming. The response was curt and condescending. Later that evening when they sent the info, I was observing a religious holdiay. His message asked to reply with confirmed but it was clear I had confirmed when I asked for the materials earlier that day. When I didn't reply to that text (less than 24 hours from the time it was sent) the business owner removed my daughter from the roster and replaced her with another student. She had dedicated her entire spring break to studying and training to become a lifeguard and Academy Group was dishonest, unprofessional and unreliable by removing her from their roster without following up with me.
