  Researched who I wanted to see for my son and knew I wanted to go to Hackensack peds nephrology. Drove an hour to see Dr. Leiberman. He was an hour late which i understand at times. He didn't close the door after he finally came in. Never sat down. Asked why were there. I explained to him. He said he was going to order another test but he didn't have concerns and he's doubt this test would show anything abnormal. Well... it came back abnormal. Dr. Leiberman has not called to guide us despite me calling 2x and his pediatrician trying as well. I dont usually write reviews but this is incredibly unprofessional and terrible care. He billed us and I dont even think he looked my son in the eyes that day. And has been unavailable to us now too. Left with no guidance.

  Dr. Lieberman and his team were excellent and they also took the time to explain everything in full which gave us the reassurance we needed.

  Dr. Lieberman is an excellent pediatric nephrologist. The entire office is kind and professional. It is located inside the pediatric portion of Hackensack Hospital so it has it's own pediatric parking garage under the building (instead of having to park at the busy main garage). Dr. Lieberman will take as much time with you as you need, and explains everything. He treated my daughter from when she was a toddler through her kidney transplant at age 16, and he still sees her. Occasionally over the years she has seen Dr. Ettinger as well, and he's great also. The gem of the office is Cathy the nephrology nurse who has her own phone extension for asking about test results, refills, or general questions or advice. When she needs to check with the doctor for something, she will get back to you as quickly as possible, if not the same day then the next. But the whole staff is great, including Millie at the desk. (Someone gave Dr. Lieberman a one-star review? I have no idea what that is about!

  First off I would not give this person a 1 star. He was very patronizing. Had an attitude from the moment he walked through the exam room door. He seem annoyed as if we were bothering him; interrupting him from something more pressing. He had such an ego. He did not even examine my son. By all of his questions and responses he did not review my sons chart prior to the appointment.
